SME Investment & Business Partnerships

A practical starting point for small and medium businesses seeking investment or an operating partner, and for people exploring suitable business partnerships in Cyprus.

For new ventures and established businesses

You may be preparing to launch, expanding an existing business or looking for a partner who can contribute capital, operating experience or market access. Our initial focus is Cyprus. We assess each enquiry individually, starting with the business and the support it needs.

A startup is a business stage; an SME describes business size. You do not need to be a technology startup to enquire. An early idea may need more preparation before it is ready for a partner discussion.

What we can help prepare

  • A clear business summary: customer need, offer, stage and team experience
  • A review of the information available, including evidence of demand, costs and intended use of funds
  • A partner profile: the experience, involvement and resources the business needs
  • A concise, owner-approved non-confidential teaser where appropriate
  • An agreed plan for research, suitable introductions and follow-up, subject to applicable professional requirements

Preparation does not amount to an audit, valuation or investment recommendation. We agree the work and fees before an engagement.

How the enquiry works

1. Share a short outline

Tell us your sector, location, stage, your role and the type of partner you need. Include broad timing and funding needs only if you are comfortable sharing them.

2. Assess readiness and scope

We review fit and information gaps, then agree preparation, confidentiality, fees and any qualified professional involvement needed before proceeding.

3. Agree what can be shared

Any teaser needs your written approval. Confidential information is shared only with agreed recipients through an appropriate process. Introductions and outcomes are not guaranteed.

Private first. Public only by agreement.

Submitting a business does not create a public listing. A public teaser may describe an approved broad sector, region, stage, customer problem, use of funds and partner type. It should give someone a reason to enquire without publishing the business blueprint.

Keep proprietary methods, customer and supplier identities, detailed financial models and full business plans out of the initial form. Before confidential material is shared, agree the recipients, purpose, access controls and appropriate confidentiality terms. These measures reduce disclosure risk; they cannot guarantee that an idea will not be copied or independently developed.

For potential investors and operating partners

Tell us the sectors and locations you understand, the business stages you consider, your preferred level of involvement and your indicative range of interest. We use this to assess fit for an initial discussion. Registration is not an investment commitment or a promise of access to opportunities.

Questions before you enquire

Can I submit an idea before launching?

Yes. Explain the customer need, what you have tested and what remains to be developed. We may recommend further preparation before discussing potential partners.

Will my business appear on the website?

Only if a suitable public summary is agreed and you give written permission. Private enquiries can remain private. No SME opportunities are currently published on this page.

Do you guarantee funding?

No. TSS does not guarantee funding, a suitable introduction or a completed deal. We do not collect investment funds or accept investment commitments through this website.

What professional advice will I need?

Transaction structure, investment terms, legal, tax and regulated activities require appropriately qualified professionals. Applicable requirements and responsibilities must be established before any engagement involving investor introductions. TSS does not provide investment or financial advice.
